I Love You, Man

On Tuesday, May 26, 2009, I went to see the movie I Love You, Man.

It's been a while since I've seen a movie... Maybe two weeks? It's the last bit of the slow season and now there will be lots of movies that I'll really want to see...

The story is about our main character, Peter Kleevan (played by Paul Rudd) who proposes to the love of his love Zooey (played by Rashida Jones). However, Peter does not have many guy friends so he does not have a best man for his wedding. Thus begins his search for his best man.

He has a few goes with guys, but they are all not quite what he's looking for. He finally finds Sydney Fife (played by Jason Segel).

A funny journey and things get rough for the gouple Peter ad Zooey. Do they make it to the end? You'll have to watch it to find out.

I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised.

Couples that are stuck together

My friend and I seem to be experiencing (or having difficulty stomaching) couples who are stuck together forever and ever and ever...

I have the couple that I talk about a lot. Raoul and Rupert:

My friend has a couple that just got together but are together like 24/7 and do things like Raoul and Rupert. They are however, a bit more tame.

And then we have this couple.

I was taking the metro back home tonight, and this couple got on at Lionel-Groulx metro. They were lovey dovey and I didn't think much about it, until the guy decided to recycle/throw out a glass bottle at Vendôme metro. The guy was hoping to run out, throw the bottle out and then run back in the metro. The girl shouted, "Oh my God, what am I going to do?!!" and proceeded to hold the metro doors open.

Then they got into this discussion about "What am I going to do if you got left behind by the metro?" and it was nauseating, the codependency of this thing.

What should you do if you got separated?

1) You (the girl) get off at the next metro stop and wait for the next train. Get back on the same wagon, because that's where the guy would be;

2) Get off at your original destination and wait by the stairs...

It's amazing how people don't think logically when they are "in love".

The Soloist

On Tuesday, May 12, 2009, I went to see the movie The Soloist. This movie stars Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr.

I found that the preview/trailer was better than the movie.

I also don't believe that this film was as good as Atonement or the Pride and Prejudice in 2005.

Yes, I know, picky, but for some odd reason, this movie didn't do it for me, even though there were also project activitiesl
