Tron Legacy: 3D

On Tuesday, January 25, 2011, I went to see the movie Tron Legacy: 3D. It's a movie that is based upon the story Tron. It carries on after from the first movie, where his father disappears into the world of the Grid, an electronic mainframe.

Jeff Bridges, plays the father, Kevin Flynn as well as Clu. Garrett Hedlund plays Sam Flynn. There's really no story line, aside from Garrett Hunland finding himself into his dad's arcade and computer and ends up in the Grid. He ends up catching up with his father and sees what has been happening in the Grid.

A science-fiction film with lots of special effects. I have not seen the original Tron and I think I would have enjoyed it more if I did. Garett Hetlund was hot though, in his leather jacket and hoodie as well as his body suit.

The Social Network

On Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, I went to see the film The Social Network.

This is the film about the founder of Facebook and his rise to his empire. Of course, this is not all factual, as it was only based upon a book that was written.

Of course, the film is also done from one perspective and tells the story as such. There's usually two sides to a story. I did enjoy the development of the story as well as the acting. I am not interested in Facebook as a concept, but learning about the history of it was very interesting. It was also interesting to see the acting. I found Andrew Garfield in the role of Eduardo Saverin exciting. It was nice to see him act out the part of the friend who gets betrayed by whom he thought was his best friend.

The movie was better than I was expected. I enjoyed it.

Burlesque

On Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, I went to see the movie Burlesque featuring Christina Aguilera and Cher.

This movie is a musical... There is very little story line. However, the dancing, the singing and the choreography was worth the price. Cher's singing as well as Christina Aguilera's was superb!

There were also quite a few good looking men, so that helps as well. However, the singing and dancing alone is worth it.

Of course, with the combination of Stanley Tucci, Eric Bane and Cam Gigandet, you can't really go wrong.
