The Age of Adaline

On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, I went to see the movie The Age of Adaline, featuring Blake Lively, Harrison Ford, Michael Huisman, Ellen Burstyn, Kathy Baker and Amanda Crew.

This movie is about Adaline Bowman, who was born in early 1900s.  Her life progresses normally, she meets the love of her life, she has a child, but then she loses her husband due to an accident.  And then she too is involved in an accident where she stops aging.

Ever since this incident, she tries to distance herself from any potential romance and relationships.  But, does she succeed?  Is she doomed to a very lonely life?  You'll have to watch the movie to find out.

Though I didn't cry, I thought this was a very good movie.  Perhaps a tad cheesy at times, but good.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron

On Tuesday, May 12, 2015, I went to see the movie The Avengers:  Age of Ultron, featuring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlet Johannson and Jeremy Renner.

The story starts off with the Avengers tracking Loki's sceptre at this base that's heavily guarded.  However, they have also secretly worked on two twins with powers...

The Avengers converge on this base, and they take a lot of information.  However, Tony Stark has the idea of building an artificial intelligence and putting it in a metallic body...

And that's where it goes awry, because the product that works is not a good robot that wants to hel people.

What happens?  You'll have to watch!

The Longest Ride

On Tuesday, I went to watch the movie The Longest Ride, featuring Scott Eastwood, Alan Alda and Jack Huston, Britt Robertson and Oona Chaplin.

This story is about the story of Sophia Danko.  A student who is studying art at a college in North Carolina...  She gets dragged off to the local rodeo...  Bull riding is what they see...  Where she meets Luke Collins for the first time.  They really hit it off and have lots of great conversation.

After their first "date", they rescue a man by the name of Ira.  We learn that Ira's love story is similar to what is happening with Sophia and Luke.  However, on their way home, they see an accident and that's how they meet Ira for the first time.

And as they learn about Ira and his love story, they see that their stories intertwines with his in quite a few ways!  And as also, with any couples, there are also many discussions...

A totally worthwhile movie.  One of the few Nicholas Sparks films turned into movies that I like.
