Terminator Genisys

On Monday, June 29, 2015, I went to see an advance screening of Terminator Genisys, featuring Arnold Swarzenagger, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney and J.K. Simmons.

This movie is about the fight against Skynet and John Connor about to send Sgt. Kyle Reese back to protect Sarah Connor.  Something happens and an alternate timeline occurs.  What happens in this alternate timeline?  I don't want to give it away.  So, you'll have to watch the movie to find out.

I liked the movie and the action was great.  Some parts of it were hard to follow, but all in all, it was an entertaining movie.

The King and I

On Monday, June 22, 2015, I went to see a special presentation of The King and I, which was the version done in 1956.  The story is about Ms. Anna, who takes a job as an English teacher for the King of Siam and as a governess of all of his children.  During the movie,  you see her relationship with the King of Siam and the start to fall in love.  However, at the end, that does not occur.  What happens instead?  You'll have to watch this musical to find out.

Spy

On Tuesday, June 9, 2015, I went to see the movie Spy, featuring Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law and Jason Statham.

This movie is about an undercover operation to infiltrate an arms dealership gone wrong.  And we find out that identities of the spies have been sold to Rayna Boyanov (played by Rose Byrne), the daughter of the person who built a large nuke.

So, Susan Cooper, who's a desk agent, decided to go undercover to attempt to get information about the nuke as well as this Rayna, as her cover is not blown.

An action filled movie filled with laughs and some explosions.  I highly enjoyed myself!

Pitch Perfect 2

On Tuesday, June 2, 2015 I went to see the movie Pitch Perfect 2, featuring Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Stanford, Brittany Snow, Skylar Astin, Adam DeVine and a whole bunch of other actors and singers.

The movie is set four years after the initial Pitch Perfect, where the Borden Bellas revamp their image and have won three championships.  They have also become quite popular and are on an A cappella tour.  However, after a mishap at the President's birthday, they are "disciplined" and they hope to be reinstated if they win the World championships.

So, the movie kind of starts off the same way as the last one, with a mishap...  The songs were not as good this time around, but they took some time to develop characters as well as tie up a few loose ends.

An overall fun movie, but it was not as good as the last one.  Both in music and in spirit.  Still worth to be seen though.
