Shaun the Sheep

On Monday, August 31, 2015, I went to see the movie Shaun the Sheep.  This movie is from the TV show, which I am unfamiliar with.

The whole premise of the story starts when the sheep on the form is tired of their routine.  Their owner, the Farmer, has the same routine every day.  So, Shaun sees a bus advertising a day off, so he wants one.  He comes up with an elaborate plan to finally get himself one, but then things just go crazy and they lose their owner (the Farmer) into the big city.

What crazy adventures await our sheep and the dog Bitzer?  You'll have to watch the movie to find out!

The Gift

On Tuesday, August 25, 2015, I went to see the movie The Gift, featuring Jason Bateman, Rebecca Hall and Joel Edgerton.

The movie is about a couple, Simon and Robyn, played by Bateman and Hall respectively, who move into a new house in California.  They go shopping for homewares and they bump into Simon's childhood friend, Gordon, who is referred to is Gordo.  Gordo the Weirdo.  They exchange awkward conversation and phone numbers...

One day, a bottle of wine shows up at their doorstep, which is kind of weird, since Simon and Robyn never gave Gordo their address.  As more gifts show up, Robyn feels bad and invites Gordon to dinner one time when she was home alone and Simon was at work...

However, as these gifts show up, a twist happens and we learn about this past between Gordon and Simon...

What happens?  You'll have to watch the movie to find out...

I didn't know that this movie was directed by Joel Edgerton as well.  I thought that it was very well directed.

Inside Out

On Tuesday, August 18, 2015, I went to see the movie Inside Out.  The latest Pixar movie about Riley, the main character of the movie.  But, she has been uprooted from Minnesota to move to San Francisco and this story is about her emotions:  Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust who deal with a new city, a new school and a new life.  Though, I have to say, I find that it's the emotions that are more of the characters rather than Riley.

Another fun Pixar movie.  I really enjoyed it.  Although this time around, I didn't quite enjoy the little Pixar movie before the film...

But I was dealing with the after effects of about 24 hours of non-stop travel via airplanes, so maybe I would enjoy the first part more if I were better rested.
