The Intern

On Tuesday, September 29, 2015, I went to see the movie The Intern featuring Robert de Niro and Anne Hathaway.

This movie is about Jules Osten, who is the CEO of an online clothing company.  This company started a senior intern program and that's where Robert de Niro comes in.  He's a retired divorcee who sees this poster and signs up for it.  And it turns out to be a rather unexpected match...  Ben (de Niro) and Osten (Hathaway) just hit it off.

What happens?  You'll have to watch the movie to find out.

I felt that de Niro and Hathaway had great chemistry on set.  Those two really made the movie work.  Although, I tend to find that Nancy Meyers tends to direct some funny feel good chick-flicky type of movies!

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation

On Tuesday, September 22, 2015, I went to see the movie Mission Impossible:  Rogue Nation, featuring Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames and Sean Harris.  The movie is about the IMF trying to infiltrate and take down the Syndicate, with very little intelligence to go on...

A fun filled movie with lots of twists and turns as well as action.  I had a really fun time.  Must see on the big screen.  You just have to turn off your brain when you watch this though.

Wolf Totem

On Tuesday, September 15, 2015, I went to see the movie Wolf Totem.  This movie was directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud.

This movie takes place during the Cultural Revolution, where a student from Beijing visits Inner Mongolia to teach its people to read and write, in exchange for room and board.  He learns the way of the people and he adopts a wolf cub...

A beautifully shot movie that shows the cruelty of people and how they disrupt the food chain and nature.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

On Tuesday, September 8, 2015, I went to see the movie The Man from U.N.C.L.E. featuring Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer and Hugh Grant.

The movie is about an American spy, Solo (played by Cavill) who trails a mechanic in East Berlin.  However, he is being tracked by a Russian spy as well, Illya (played by Hammer).  Due to unforeseen circumstances, the two of them have to work together to stop a nuclear missile from being launched.  However, these spies are still ordered to kill the other spy "if needed"

A round of hilarious hijinx ensues.  A fun movie to watch and a few good chuckles.  A spy movie with a different spin...

Southpaw

On Tuesday, September 1, 2015, I went to see the movie Southpaw featuring Jake Gyllenhaal, Forest Whittaker and Rachel McAdams.  This movie is about Billy Hope, played by Gyllenhaal, who is a boxing champion.  However, he suffers personal tragedy and everything goes downhill.  But, he learns from this, fights his demons and gets his life back in order...

Along with these trials and tribulations, he also fights boxing matches.  A roller coaster ride of Billy Hope's life, but also for other people around him.

It was a very emotional movie and I highly enjoyed it.
