Loving

On Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, I went to see the movie Loving, featuring Joel Edgerton.

This movie is based on the case of Loving versus Virginia.  A story about one of the first interacial couples and their struggle to have their marriage be recognized.  The story of Richard and Mildred Loving.

It was an interesting experience, because someone in the cinema fell asleep in the cinema and was snoring...  The pace of the movie was quite slow, but I felt that it really allowed for the character development.  I also thought that Joel Edgerton played the role very well.

Manchester By the Sea

On Tuesday, December 6, 2016, I went to see the movie Manchester by the Sea, featuring Casey Affleck, Michelle Williams, Matthew Broderick and Lucas Hedges.

The story is about Lee Chandler, played by Casey Affleck, who is named the guardian of his brother's son, Patrick, because of his brother's untimely passing.

This movie is about how Lee deals with being named as Patrick's guardian and then we learning about why Lee is reluctant to stay in Manchester to help raise his nephew.

A very depressing movie, but it's well done.  The acting is great.
