The Monkey King 3

On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, I went to see the movie The Monkey King 3.

This is the third movie in the series, which is the serious one (not the funny one).  This time, the monk, the Monkey King and the other two disciples stumble across The country of women.  In this country there is not a single man there.  And they are seen as evil and are automatically executed.

Once again, the movie was nicely done.  I don't know the full story, but it was an interesting twist to it, I would imagine.

The Post

On Friday, Febrary 2, 2018, I went to see the movie The Post.

The movie features Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks.  It is about Kay Graham, the owner of the Washington Post, who decides to publish classified documents about the Vietnam War.

This was a very well acted piece of cinema from Streep, Hanks and the team that was there.

I did not know that this movie was directed by Steven Spielberg and that John Williams scored the music.
