Happy New Year!

First of all, a happy new year to the readers of my blog. May your new year's wishes come true, and if you made resolutions, I hope that you succeed.

Today, I finally took the train home to Montreal, and got hassled by VIA Rail. First, they made me check my luggage. Then, when I got to Montreal, they completely destroy the strap which I can use to carry my luggage home. I had to bitch, and they promised that they would pay the bill for reparation. I get home, and there is not too much damage... Squished toothpaste and broken bottle handle. (No bottles were broken, thank goodness). VIA Rail has promised me that they would pay for the reparation of the strap. So, we'll see.

And then, I find out that STM (Société de transport de Montréal) has raised the price for the Student monthly pass from $32.50 to $33.75.

This kind of worries me, not because I have to pay an increase of about 4% from last year... What worries me is that our economy seems to be heading towards the trend where prices get raised, but exceeding the amount where people's salaries are getting raised. If this trend continues, this will eventually lead to a collapse of the economy. I don't know, this just kind of worries me.
