The Big Wedding

On Tuesday, May 7, 2013, I went to see the movie The Big Wedding.  This movie features many big stars that have been acting for quite some time, mixed with stars who have less experience.  Here are some stars that were in the movie:

Robert De Niro
Susan Sarandon
Diane Keaton
Robin Williams
Amanda Seyfried
Katherine Heigl
Topher Grace

Now, this movie has gotten some mixed reviews...  I thought that the movie was great.  It was funny, the acting was great and there were quite a few moments where I laughed really heartily.  I also felt that in general, it was a feel good movie that made me feel good at the end.

The plot, albeit a bit thin, was about Missy (Seyfried) and Alejandro (Ben Barnes), who were getting married.  Alejandro is an adopted son, who was raised by Don (De Niro) and Ellie (Keaton).  Those two have divorced and Don now lives with Bebe (Sarandon).  For the wedding, Don and Ellie have to act like they are still married, because Alejandro's biological mother, Madonna (Patricia Rae) has decided to come from Columbia to the wedding.

Other side characters include Jared and Lyla (Grace and Heigl) who are the two eldest siblings of Alejandro.

I really enjoyed myself and I feel that this is a really nice feel-good movie.
