The Butler

On Tuesday, September 3, 2013, I went to see the movie The Butler, featuring Forest Whittaker, Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz and a whole slew of other stars.

The movie is about a butler, played by Whittaker, who recounts his story of his career as a butler at the White House, through four presidencies.  He also recounts a bit of his early childhood and what he has lived through and how he got to where he was today.

This movie was very well done, as it also highlighted the civil rights movement throughout the presidencies and thus, it discussed the history.  It was a very deep and profound film.  The acting was also quite well done, especially done by the characters who were more important.
