Boy Erased

On Friday, November 9, 2018, I went to see the movie Boy Erased featuring Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, Lucas Hedges, Xavier Dolan and Joel Edgerton.

The movie is based on a real life story of Jared Eamon, whose parents are very religious Christians (his father is a minister).

What happens though is that Jared admits that he might be homosexual, so he gets sent to a conversion therapy program.

After trials and tribulations, as well as many sad events, he decides that it is not going to work and he decides to live his own life.  He becomes a journalist and writes about the dangers of this therapy.

A bit of a slow paced movie, but the acting was good.  (Maybe except for Xavier Dolan.  But people say I have a disdain for him)
