Loose Cannons (Mine vaganti)

On Tuesday, September 13, 2011 I went to see the movie Mine vaganti, Loose Cannons in English, which is an Italian film with English subtitles.

The movie is about Tomasso Cantone, the youngest son of a pasta business who has returned home because his father wanted to hand over the factory to him and his older brother.  Tomasso is gay, and intends to come out to everyone at a dinner party.  Before he goes to the party, he tells his brother just to test the waters and to see how his brother would react.  His brother urged him not to do so, that he should keep it quiet, but Tomasso doesn't agree.

It's the dinner party and Tomasso is ready to make his big announcement.  However, his bigger brother, Antonio, has an announcement of his own to make...  And it foils Tomasso's plans completely!

You'll have to watch the movie to find out what Antonio says!  Perhaps what he says might be a bit predictable, although it might be not, the movie is completely not predictable.  A very nicely done comedy with lots of witty banter and heart warming moments.  A must-see!
