American Hustle

On Thursday, January 2, 2014, I went to see the movie American Hustle featuring Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Renner and Robert DeNiro.

The movie is about Irving Rosenfeld, played by Christian Bale, who is a con man as a living, who nearly gets caught by the FBI for fraud.  He was partnered with Sydney Prosser, who was his partner in fraud.  Rosenfeld also has a wife and a child as well, although they were not directly involved with fraud.  The way out is for them to work with Richie DiMaso, an FBI agent played by Bradley Cooper.

Bradley Cooper has a big vision and tries to use them to nab people who are corrupt.  However, because he's such an optimist and a dreamer, he decides to catch bigger and bigger fish, which include politicians, senators and people in the mob.

What happens at the end?  How does Jennifer Lawrence's role come into play?  You'll have to watch the movie to find out.
