Rocketman, Compulsive Liar, Lion King, Yesterday

I just realized that I forgot to update quite a few movies.  I have seen a couple in the past few weeeks.

I saw Rocketman, the story about Elton John's life and his music.  Beautifully done, the music was nice and the singing was amazing.

I saw Compulsive Liar, or Menteur, in French.  The story is about the main character who is a compulsive liar and to make him learn his lesson, all his lies that he has ever told all become truths.  Which makes for a hilarious story that follows.  How does he get out if it?  You'll have to watch the movie to find out.

I saw Lion King, the remake.  It was okay.  There was a lot of CGI, of course, because you really can't have animals that do what they do in the movie.  I personally did not feel that this was better than the original animated feature.  It certainly was not better than Aladdin, in my opinion.

Tonight, I went to see Yesterday.  This movie is about Jack Malik, played by Himesh Patel, who has a struggling career in music.  His manager is Ellie Appleton, played by Lily James, an elementary school mathematics teacher.  One night, he gets in an accident with a bus and he wakes up in a hospital bed.  In this new timeline, the Beatles never existed (along with a few other things), so he gets to live his dream of being a big star using Beatles songs.  What happens?  You'll have to watch the movie to find out.
