Hard Candy

On May 1, 2006, I went to see the movie Hard Candy. This is the movie about a 14 year old girl who is meeting up with a 31 year old photographer at a local coffee shop. You think that from the first moment, that the 14 year old girl was going to be in trouble, but then as the movie progresses, you realize that perhaps the predator has become the prey...

This movie was definitely disturbing, and it was a psychological thriller. I also believe that the male lead actor, Patrick Wilson should at least get an Oscar nod for his portrayal of the lead character, Jeff. I also found it slightly unrealistic that a 14 year old girl has the maturity and the mental capacity of what she did in the film.

At the theatre, there were some people who were clearly idiots... At one point in the movie, some dude called out, "Cut off his balls.", and I yelled over, "I don't need your comments, thank you.", but then the idiot either didn't hear me, or wanted to hear my comment again, and asked, "What?", and I repeated my same comment. This is a psychological thriller, not a blood and guts movie... You're not goint to see blood and guts in this film. Anyway, idiotic people.
