New job!

My transformation from a student to a professional has been solidified. Today, I was hired to teach at Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School with the Lester B. Pearson School Board.

I will be teaching Sec IV (Grade 10) Science and Mathematics. That'll be a challenge, but it'll be fun.

Congrats!! That grade level *will* be challenging, but you'll do well :D At leats with Math, it's a bit less prep work, but Sci it's a lot of prep work and setting up (of labs).

Apparently, there's a bit of a kink... I am replacing apparently a maternity leave, so the teacher is coming back for a couple of weeks... Which means that I do not start until the third week of September. I have to call the principal and sort things out.

The bright side: You have more time to prep, and you *might* even get curriculum materials from the teacher (depends on whether or not she's with the "it's silly to re-invent the wheel" group). Getting your foot inside that door's the first-but-crucial step!
