Elections Canada 2008
Now that the elections are in full swing... And we'll be hitting the polls in less than two weeks... We need to start thinking about what we're doing...
I was talking to my friend/neighbour *Raoul last night about the elections... The same one who is dating *Rupert.
I didn't ask him whom he was voting for, but I did ask him to tell me, "Anyone but Harper."
The scary thing is, he's actually considering voting for the Conservatives.
There are two things that bug me about this statement:
1) Harper has not unveiled his election platform yet... Why would anyone vote for them if they don't know what he is going to do with our country? What type of leader are we voting for?
2) As a friend told me, which I think has punch. "If you're a gay man and you vote for Harper, that's like being Jewish and voting for Hitler."
Wow, what a comparison! Raoul retorted that Harper didn't reverse the gay marriage law... No, he didn't, but it's not due to lack of trying, that's for sure.
