Safe

On Saturday, May 19, 2012 I went to see the movie Safe, featuring Jason Statham.  The movie is about Luke Wright.  He is in a boxing match with someone.  We see the bell go and the next thing we know, he's put the person whom he's boxing with in the hospital in the coma.  We also know that he has lost people a lot of money, because he was supposed to throw the match.  He has angered some members of the Russian mob.

He calls his wife, Annie, on the cell phone, warning her to not go home if she is out.  However, when Luke gets home, he already sees that the Russians have gotten to her.  The Russians have told him that they will kill whomever he gets close to, essentially forcing him to live a very secluded life, as whomever he gets close to, they kill.

While all this is happening, we see another storyline happening with a really intelligent little girl, Mei, who is in the process of correcting her teacher in mathematics.  The principal has decided that he would send her to special school for gifted students, but she was then abducted.

As Luke Wright is about to jump off the subway platform, he bumps into Mei, who's looking distraught and trying to escape from the Russians.  That's where the story really begins.

What happens in the movie?  You'll have to watch to find out.  This is not the best piece of cinematography out there, but it is a very well done action flick.  Not too much blood, but lots of gun fights.
