Trois Petits Cochons 2
On Saturday, July 9, 2016, I went to see the movie Trois P'tits Cochons 2 (Three Little Pigs 2), featuring Paul Doucet, Patrice Robitaille and Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge.
This is the follow-up story to the movie in 2007 featuring the same brothers (Rémy, Christian and Matthieu) who like to stroke each other's egos about their sexual conquests... The big difference in this movie is that the middle brother, Christian, is played by Patrice Robitaille this time around whereas he was played by Claude Legualt in the first one.
The story occurs a couple of years after the first movie where the big project is that the eldest brother is putting together a party/memorial for the passing of their mother, whom they love and miss dearly. Matthieu, the youngest brother, "talks" to and still "talks" to their mother. Rémy is the big brother, and a big shot investment banker whereas Christian has a job, but his wife's career is taking off so she's raking in the big bucks.
So, even though the story is centred around the memorial, the brothers, as they haven't really changed from their first movie, are pretty much still "pigs" and are up to no good and shenanigans.
What follows is a hilarious movie with one-liners and laugh-out-loud funny scenes, as well as a discussion (or a more serious make you think through laughter approach) on sexuality. I don't want to give too much away.
A really worthwhile movie to watch. If your French is not strong, I suggest seeing it with subtitles. They were very well done.
