A wonderful day...

Today, I made my usual trip to Resto du village to have my usual breakfast of three eggs, sausage, toast (brown dry - aka whole wheat, no butter), and homefries with coffee. Unfortunately, the guy whom I tended to see before the new year has not been seen for the past two weeks, but due to unforeseen circumstances... (I wanted an extra small fries with gravy, but the waiter was really tired and forgot about my order, so when I finally went to ask him, with the intention that if it hasn't been prepared yet, then I would cancel it, and pay for only the breakfast. However, he felt really bad about making me wait so long... (I was solving math problems, so it wasn't much of a wait for me), he didn't charge me for breakfast... ) So, I left him a $2 tip. (Breakfast is usually $4.25, and I usually leave a $5 so that the waiter has $0.75 tip, which is more than 15%). However, since he didn't charge me, I left him a nice tip. As I walked in, the radio station that they had on also played Cardigans - Love Fool, which is one of my favourite love songs, because I can be a love fool, and I would love it for someone to "love me, love me, say that you love me..."

And then, as I was exiting the Guy-Concordia metro stop to go home, someone was there, with a piano, and he played this sequence of notes as I was walking past, and I thought, "Hmm... He must be playing Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive. Sure enough, I was right, so I listened to a bit of it as I was walking up the esculator... The song is much better when you have someone singing it, especially someone who can feel the lyrics.

So, I hope the rest of the day will be even better. Except... I just remembered that I was supposed to have St. John's Ambulance training for CPR re-cert today at 8:30 a.m.!!! I'll have to call them and hope that I can reschedule the first part for another day! :(
