The beauties of nature
I believe sometimes people do not pause to look at the beautiful things that nature provides us.
Today, there was this very beautiful, small bird with almost a full body of yellow feathers that was chirping outside my bedroom window. It was a very beautiful bird, with a very cheery and nice chirp. I tried to get a picture of it with my webcam, but I couldn't, since the webcam only saw the white of the light coming from outside my window.
Doing some research about birds in North America, and cross-referencing with yellow feathers, I have narrowed it down to the following list:
American Goldfinch
Lesser Goldfinch
Evening Grosbeak
Scott's Oriole
Hooded Oriole
Yellow-headed Blackbird
Eastern Meadowlark
Western Meadowlark
Western Tanager
Yellow Warbler
Wilson's Warbler
Orange-crowned Warbler
And after doing some looking up of pictures on the internet. I believe the bird I saw was either a Yellow Warbler, or a Wilson's Warbler. I believe it's more the former, because I do not recall seeing a black crown on its head.
Anyway, the joys of watching a nice bird with a yellow coat. That reminds me, I should probably unpack some of my stationery...
