Paris (the film, not the city)
On Tuesday, October 14, 2008, I went to see the movie Paris. This is a French film about a bunch of people whose stories intertwine with each other in the city of Paris.
This was a pseudo art house film, and it's also mixed with a bit of romantic comedy into it.
There are lots of big French stars in it, mainly my favourite: Albert Dupontel. He's got a great range... Dupontel plays a fruit vendor at a market, who's going through a shaky breakup with his ex, who still works at the fruit stand with him. I'm sure that there are lots of other stars who are big in France, but I don't know their work.
This is one of those movies where I will not try to get into the plot, because it's kind of Crash-esque (but with better acting and story line), and the story is about love, more so than about overt racism.
A light movie, a date movie, but definitely not a movie that breaks cinematographic ground.
