Chéri

On Tuesday, July 7, 2009, I went to see the film Chéri. It's based on the two books, Chéri and La fin de Chéri by Colette. I suppose that the movie combined these two in one.

The story is about a woman who lived in the late 19th century and early 20th century who was a sexual trade worker. I think there was a special name for that, but I don't know it...

She ends up spending 6 years with this boy whom she called Chéri.

A period piece, I suppose and enjoyable. However, not supremely realistic, as it's all in English and I think the original book was set in France. Oh well, such is life... It's fun though. I like fun movies like this.
