27 Dresses
On Tuesday, March 4, 2008, I went to see the film 27 Dresses, starring Katherine Heigl and James Marsden. Heigl plays Jane Nichols, a wedding planner who claims that from the moment that she was eight years old, she knew that she wanted to plan weddings for a living. In fact, she believes that when it is someone's wedding, she should be there to make sure that everything is perfect, since it's their day.
She has a huge crush on the boss of the company, and everyone knows it, except for the boss himself. However, the boss doesn't even know that she exist, only except as a worker. She unexpected meets someone at one of the weddings that she's running, James Marsden, who plays the character of Kevin Doyle, a Commitments column journalist for a big New York newspaper.
The story is about the development of love between the two characters, and at teh same time, Jane, having to deal with the fact that her younger sister is about to get married to Jane's boss, and her long time crush! A hilarious movie with lots of laughs, and some heart warming moments.
This is a chick flick, but it is one that is enjoyable, at least in my opinion.
