Up the Yangtze

On Tuesday, March 25, 2008, I went to see the film Up the Yangtze. This film is a documentary about the damming project in China, the Three Gorges Dam.

I didn't really get the point about this movie/documentary, and for a film that was 1.5 hours, it was way too long.

If someone else saw this film, and understood the point, please let me know.

Granted of course, I felt bad for the little girl who had to work on the ship because she came from a poor family, and they can't afford to send her off to high school. Her dream was to become a scientist, but right now, I think she needs to take a detour from that.
