Laurence Anyways

On Tuesday, May 29, 2012, I went to see the movie Laurence Anyways, the latest film by Xavier Dolan.

The movie is about Laurence Alias, who is a teacher of literature.  He is 35 and the year is 1989.  He has met a girl with whom he has been dating for two years.  Her name is Fréd Belair.  He admits to her that he has been feeling like a woman trapped in a man's body for years and he wants to live his life as a woman.

Essentially, the movie is about Laurence's struggles when the image change occurs and the challenges that go with transsexuality.

The topic was a hard one to deal with, but I thought that this film was quite pretentious.  I do not think that it is worth the time and money.  I don't understand why this guy is so big.
